Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born on 18 November of 1985 from Los Angeles. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix had an early flair for athletics when she was studying at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She was able to see her speed-running talents at the at the time. Within a short time after her first attempt, Felix finished second in the 200-meter event in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix completed her high school graduation having signed a professional contract with the sports company Adidas before enrolling at the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal in 2004 at the Summer Olympics held at Athens Greece. She broke an unofficial Junior World Record running 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. Felix became the world's youngest champion in the 200m in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at her first Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo regularly placing in the top three of her races.
